March 22, 2008 marked the first of many to come in Rodeo. Xtreme Pony Express Open Rodeo has become a household name in the Oklahoma City and Guthrie area, which is synonymous with quality. We provided the complete ambiance for the day. We provided moon bounces, pony rides and face painting for the children. Because our event took place the day before Easter, we conducted an Easter Egg hunt for the 3-12yo children. The day began at 2pm with DJ entertainment and radio host from KVSP Power 103.5FM. At 5pm we shut down the tailgate party and moved into the arena for even more family fun. The Lazy E has the capacity to hold 7,000 people and we had a turn out of over 2,500 people, not bad for our very first event. With a turn out so grand, our cowboys and cowgirls had an amazing audience to show out in front of for the whole evening.

During the Grand Entry we provided a light show for the horse riders to ride in on, with old glory waving proudly at the helm of the walk. There was live entertainment by way of the amazing R&B singer, Case. We even got a few cowboys to dance back up for him. As the night continued the crowd was awed at the prospect of participating in the Danell Tipton's new reality show “Urban Cowboy”. There were 4 cameras stationed throughout the rodeo filming the entire day, with a roving camera for up close and personal testimonials from various crowd participants. We provided a photographer to not only capture the smiling faces, but the action of the events down on the arena floor. Our program ended with the last relay of the Pony Express and the Tulsa Outlaws have been crowned the XPE champions for the year 2008.

We provided booth space for various vendors throughout the tailgate and the Rodeo. There were all types of vendors from toys to western apparel to our very own table, provided by State Farm Insurance Agent – Kenneth James. Our Rodeo Programs captured the attention of all audience members with the most amazing of Logos, XPE Open Rodeo. Our programs provided advertising for our sponsors and special recognition of those who have helped Xtreme Pony Express Open Rodeo achieve it's goal.
